Since 1974, Judas Priest has been one of heavy metalâ€™s most successful bands, issuing such all-time classic albums as 1980â€™s â€˜British Steel,â€™ 1982â€™s â€˜Screaming for Vengeance,â€™ and 1990â€™s â€˜Painkiller,â€™ and such arena-rocking anthems as â€œBreaking the Law,â€ â€œLiving After Midnight,â€ and â€œYouâ€™ve Got Another Thing Cominâ€™.â€ However, Priestâ€™s influence goes far beyond their music - they were the first metal band to embrace the â€˜leather biker look,â€™ a fashion that has since become synonymous with the musical genre. Additionally, Halfordâ€™s powerful four-and-a-half octave vocal range and the twin guitar harmonies of Downing and Tipton have been â€˜studiedâ€™ by countless metal bands in Priestâ€™s wake.
