Christian Gernot Arnold ! Am 16.05.1947 was born to Christian Gernot Arnold in Erfurt. He began with 6 years (1953) with the classical Geigenuntericht till 1959, from then his main interest was the love to his new guitar with which he took part then from 1963 together with the combo -RINALDOS- in Erfurt, as well as with the first concerts also in BERLIN to the 1st Germany meeting. The foundation the volume -MOONLIGTHS- 1964- in Erfurt together with EDGAR JANTA in the bass, GERD HEERBACH as the second guitarist and UWE HEMME in the percussion. Then during the service in the army of Nov.1966 till April, 1968 he played in Berlin with a volume of the -army-. Together with UWE HEMME SCHLAGZEUG and JÜRGEN KLEIN BASS CHRIS ARNOLD 1968 founded the tape -THREE- again in his hometown ERFURT. In 1970 the tape got increase nit to the Bluesgitarristen from field Catter / Thuringia WALDI WEIZ, and changed the name the volume in -MODERN BLUES-, at the same time LUDWIG TOMAS again arrived in the organ as a new tape member. In 1971 it came to a regrouping wiefolgt: Beside CHRIS ARNOLD Guitar & Voc., EDGAR JANTA bass, FORESTER EDDI drums & Voc., LUDWIG TOMAS ORGEL & Voc., as well as violin CHAN KOY. Now under the slightly changed name -MODERN BLUES II- of The changes in 1973 to the new volume -UNIVERSE- with other musicians, as for example: MICHA KUHS also guitar & Voc, WALTER SCHUBERT ORGEL, ROLAND MICHI bass & FORESTER EDDI the drums which were substituted in 1974 with ULRICH FASSHAUER GITARRE & JÜRGEN GRIMM BASS by which the style the volume -UNIVERSE- changed once more. Then CHRIS ARNOLD still remained till May, 1979 in this volume. Up to his play ban April, 1984 by the authorities of the GDR, because of an application for an exit visa in the Federal Republic of Germany, CHRIS ARNOLD played another 5 years in the Thuringian volume -ROCKKESTRA-.
