METRUM was formed in 2009. Their progressive elements in the rhythm section, combined with a dark unique voice and grooving guitar riffs make them stand out. The musicians´ roots are diverse, coming from the USA, Austria and Germany. Human rights, environmental and socio-political issues are not just empty phrases in Metrum´s lyrics. The band´s great interest in international politics and history have shaped their critical reflectiveness of the world. Their lyrics are profoundly critical of the system, and they are aware that they are a part of what they criticize. Metrum genuinely wants to make people think and ignite a desire for change in society.
