Full Moon Music Kurzbeschreibung Insiders tip from the rock scene but already the favorite band of all favorite bands The Durango Riot had them all: Social Distortion, Die Toten Hosen, Billy Talent, The Offspring, Kraftklub, Donots, Royal Republic... The list of bands that they were supporting is long. No wonder! Fred Andersson (vocals, guitar), Hakan Ficks (bass, vocals), Jacob Martinsson (guitar, vocals) and Erik Sjökvist (drums) are performing with an extraordinary and overwhelming euphoria. Not surprisingly that The Durango Riot have the title of favorite band´s favorite band . Nevertheless, the rockers from Sweden can never get enough from the stressy life on tour and in February 2013 they could play their own first and successful headlining tour in Germany. Afterwards the band wend straight to Pelle Gunnerfelds Gröndal Studios in Stockholm to record their brand new album that will be released in August 2014, followed by a tour and summer festivals in Summer / Autumn 2014.The band formed in spring 2005 in the small Swedish town Karlskoga. Two years later the band released their first fullength album Telemission, an impressive debut that seemingly without any difficulty mixed a molotov coctail out of Blues, Rock&Roll and Hard Rock with saxophones, harmonicas and Doorsy psychadelic influences. The album received great reviews in the underground press and suddenly the band was on the road, touring from Europe to Japan, supporting punklegends such as Social Distortion, Die Toten Hosen and swedish rockers The Soundtrack Of Our Lives. The word about the bands charismatic and highly energetic liveshows was rapidly spreading, creating an underground buzz about the group as being a new force to count on. Back home, they immediately started to work on a second album and despite any new record deal or a clear plan, the band got on a plane to Los Angeles to meet up with one of their new admirers, legendary producer Joe Baressi (Queens Of The Stone Age, Tool etc). Together in his studio, the band layed the first tracks of what was to become the album Backwards Over Midnight . A fullblooded solid beast of a record that contains the whole spectrum of the groups widely spread musical influences and songwriting ambitions.
