Will Johns is a Brighton-based guitar virtuoso and singer-songwriter who has shared a stage with the cream of British Blues players including Eric Clapton, Ronnie Wood, Jack Bruce and Mick Taylor to name just a few. Born in 1973, this is a man with the music in his blood, but it’s hardly surprising given his pedigree. His parents are actress/model Paula Boyd, sister of Pattie, and record producer Andy Johns (who worked with the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin and Eric Clapton), and his uncles include Eric Clapton, Mick Fleetwood, George Harrison and Glyn Johns. Will started playing the guitar as a teenager, with plenty of encouragement from Uncle Eric. Like any great musician though, it wasn’t long before Johns’ own creativity kicked-in and he soon developed his own unique sound that is both cutting-edge and steeped in blues history. Distinctive and exciting, he strikes a masterful balance between old soul & modern flair, and is a hugely respected songwriter & performer. He has been nominated for ‘Best Original Blues Song’ by the British Blues Awards three times, and his new album ‘BLUESDADDY’ is available to pre-order now. A favourite among festival goers, Will has appeared across the UK at such prestigious events as Blues On The Farm, Birmingham Jazz and Blues Festival, Rainbow Festival and Cambridge Rock Festival. Will has also toured Europe & Russia to sold out venues. He also tours with Kofi Baker - son of Ginger - in The Music of Cream.
