Scarlet Anger is a Thrash Metal Band from Luxembourg founded in fall 2007 by Joe Block (Vocals) and Fred Molitor(Guitar).
Both know each other from their early childhood.
They loved the same stuff and so came their interest in music.
As teenagers they started to play music and founded a band called Born.
The band released 4 albums and reached a top-ten hit in a well known luxembourgish radio-show.
After years of playing shows, Joe and Fred were searching for some new guys to make music without any compromises, so they’ve started auditions in fall 2007.
After some weeks the new buddies joined the band.
There was Luc Weber (Drums), Guy Reding (Guitar) and Vince Niclou (Bass) so the Band was complete and ready to go! http://www.vimeo.com/1628432 . Unfortunately Luc had to leave in fall 2009 due to time constraints. Already a week later the band has found a new drummer in Alain Flammang (aka Skeelo).
He’s got a lot of experience in metal music, and played in luxembourgish bands like « Dreaming in red » or « Hard to handle ». On december 12th 2009 Scarlet Anger released their first 4 Track EP « La realidad es triste… ». To promote the EP they played a lot of concerts, the biggest ones were as supporting act for german metal-legends „Primal Fear“ and the W:O:A Metal Battle.
In spring 2010 a new guitarist joined the band due to musical differencies with Guy. We wish him the best luck with his project. The new man on guitars is Jeff Buchette. Already in his young age he’s well known in Luxembourg for his playing.
It was clear that with this Line Up the new Songs would sound different like the first ones, so they started with the Songwriting. Soon after all the Material was ready to go, the recording begun in May 2010 and it was a long way to go, as the Band decided to do everything but the Mastering by themselves.
January 2011 the Mix was ready for the Mastering at Skywalk in Trier. The new artwork for the Cover was concepted by the Band.The release of the “Kill the King” EP will be on the 26th March at the Metalfestival in Kopstal.
