The band MAD HEADS XL was unleashed in February 2004 as the new incarnation of the famous Ukrainian trio Mad Heads. The guitar, the double bass and the drums were enforced with a powerful brass section, and the wild rock’n’roll drive was enriched with new musical influences, among them the most notable were elements of ska, reggae and Ukrainian folk. But the overriding factor was the band becoming full of powerful positive energy and optimism. The musicians’ great live performances turn any concert into an unforgettable show, making the audience part of it whether it’s a small club or a huge open air event with many thousands of people. No doubt that made this newly born band popular even before the first video clip appeared on TV. In May 2004 MAD HEADS XL stormed the stage of the biggest Ukrainian festival TAVRIA GAMES and became regulars on many major events ever since. On the main square of Ukraine, Maidan Nezalezhnosti in Kyiv, the band has performed more then 10 times, including twice on the biggest state event: Independent Day.
