The Machine is a three-piece rock band, formed in the end of 2007. The members are David Eering (guitar/vocals), Davy Boogaard (drums) and Hans van Heemst (bass). Since its birth, the band released three full length albums. They signed to Elektrohasch Records in 2010 who released their latest effort, Drie (December 2010). Record number four, titled Calmer Than You Are, was released in March 2012. The Machine re-introduced themselves with a rawer, less jammier sound. Live shows will always remain the same though: intense and sincere, with room for improvisation. The band´s own style can be described as psychedelic rock with a modern take on old and slightly less older influences, combining several elements of rock ´n roll history. Let´s just call it rock.
