Blues guitarist, composer, performer and recording artist Joe Colombo belongs to a new generation of guitarists that grew up listening to classics such as Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Johnny Winter but at the same time influenced by modern blues-rock artists such as Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jeff Healey. Joe was born in Switzerland but already since child year, American music, especially blues, was present in his life and determinate his future as a guitar player. As early as at the age of twelve, his unconditional love for music and his dedication to the slide guitar led Joe towards blues music and made him develop a unique personal sound that easily soars from blues-rock to the acoustic virtuosities of delta-blues. Joe found his ideal location in the “Devil’s Music” between Johnny Winter, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Freddie King. It didn’t took long for Joe to understand that his soul and music belong by spirit to the United States.
